Clinicians

Chad Alexander

is a director, choreographer, and visual artist currently residing in Kansas City, Missouri.  Alexander is a graduate of Millikin University and holds a degree in Theater Directing with a minor in Choreography.

Dr. Andrew Last

is an Assistant Professor of Music at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.  As a high school show choir director, Last’s groups garnered many awards, and he is a frequent clinician and guest conductor around the U.S.

Ben Schrank

is a nationally recognized show designer and choreographer.  In 2012 Schrank was named Best New Choreographer as part of Fame’s Aspire Awards.  His groups have been named Grand Champion and have received many Best Choreography awards.

Vocal Judges

Tom Hales

is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University.  He is a choral director at East High School in Sioux City, Iowa where he directs the varsity show choir, “The Headliners.”

Matt Huth

has been directing vocal music in Iowa for twenty-one years.  Show Choirs under his direction have captured many awards including Grand Championships, Best Vocals, Best Choreography, and Best Band.

Tatum Mahlen

is in her seventeenth year of teaching and is currently a vocal music director at Hastings High School in Hastings, Minnesota.  Maheln has directed both varsity and prep show choirs, curricular choirs, and maintains a private voice studio.

Visual Judges

Kevin Breazeale

is a freelance musical theatre director, choreographer, performer, and show designer.  His show choirs are consistent finalists and have earned many captions awards.  Additionally, Breazeale has appeared in several regional musical theatre productions.

Gates Crisler

is a freelance choreographer from Chicago, Illinois.  A native of Clinton, Mississippi, he holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.  Crisler choreographs for many show choirs across the country.

Brock Kepler

earned a Music Education degree from Elmhurst College.  Keiper is a freelance music arranger and also serves as the show choir band director for Naperville North High School.

Charlie Vogl

has been dancing for over 25 years.  He graduated from the University of Iowa and also holds a minor in Vocal Music Performance from Cornell College in Mount Vernon.  He has directed and choreographed show choirs of various levels, and he and his wife own The Dancer’s EDGE.
